Analysis Request – Pesticides

During cultivation cannabis can be exposed to a range of pesticides and other chemicals. Pesticides, whether detected as a fungicide, insecticide, or rodenticide, is any substance or mixture of substances used for preventing, destroying or controlling any pest. Although associated with various health risks for consumers, the use of pesticides is legal dependent on both the pesticide used and the level at which they are present. Using both liquid chromatography mass spectrometry (LCMS) and gas chromatography mass spectrometry (GCMS) Vinlab Pharma offers the most sensitive and comprehensive pesticide screening and confirmation available.

What?

Our pesticide residue testing includes all 69 required pesticides listed in the European Pharmacopoeia, including the commonly used cannabis pesticide piperonyl butoxide and pyrethrum – a family of six pesticides produced by Chrysanthemum.

Why?

Due to adverse health effects pesticide screening is of utmost importance to ensure cannabis products are contaminant free and safe for human consumption. This screening also provides growers, manufacturers and dispensaries with compliance data enabling them to meet regulatory requirements.

Who?

If you are involved in the cultivation, production or processing stages screening your cannabis products for pesticides ensures only quality products are released into the market. Not only does this protect your brand identity, but ensures specific regulations set out by buyers is adhered to.
